Participant Reviews

I love the idea of small business, and they are the heroes of the economy. And it’s so tough and it can be lonely. And sometimes it is a coaching conversation that needs to happen. I feel like having systems and having the framework so I can not only be certified but but have that extra bit of confidence to sell myself and have that conversation.

Small Business Coach

I’m a CPA, and I’ve always worked with Small Business owners. I opted into this program because I am looking to transition my career to becoming a small business coach. I’ve always really enjoyed those interactions and that kind of relationship and I want to continue that on as I transition into my later career life and that’s why I’m here.

Sometimes when people are stuck, yes, it might be a limiting belief. Yes, it might be something that’s coachable, but actually it might also be something that’s really practical. And the resources that I’ve seen from a systems business coach I think are going to be incredible for that.

The learning from this course has been immediately useful, effective and stays true to a coach approach. I encourage any certified coaches working with small businesses to take this step in their coach learning journey. Not only have I learned new systems and tools for my coaching clients, I have also been able to apply these systems and tools in my own small coaching practice.

Frequently Asked Questions

This Coaching Bootcamp helps helping professionals add real coaching skills to their work with business owners. You will learn what coaching is and is not, practice the skills between classes, and build the ability to guide focused, high-trust conversations that lead to action.

Who is Coaching Bootcamp for?

Coaching Bootcamp is for aspiring coaches and working professionals who want to add coaching skills to their role, including those who support small business owners.

Coaching Bootcamp includes coach practice and focuses on the ICF Core Competencies, making it a strong place to start if you are still building your coaching skills.

It is also ideal for students on an ICF credential pathway (ACC or PCC) who want a clear, structured way to build coaching competence.

No coaching experience is required. Coaching Bootcamp is designed to teach you how to coach from the ground up, starting with the structure of a coaching conversation and the core skills you will practice between classes.

Coaching Bootcamp is practical and skill-forward. You are learning how to coach through real practice, with a clear process you can repeat, improve, and use immediately. It is also embedded in an ICF-accredited pathway for those pursuing Level 1 or Level 2.

Yes. These skills transfer to leadership, client conversations, team development, and any role where you want people to think better, take ownership, and follow through.

Yes. Coaching Bootcamp is a required course in our ICF-accredited Level 1 and Level 2 pathways. It builds the coaching skills you need before moving into deeper competency development and recorded performance work.

Yes. Coaching Bootcamp is designed to build the coaching behaviours and session structure that support strong performance on ICF-style evaluations. You will practice the skills that assessors listen for, then improve through repetition and feedback.

Yes. The Coaching Bootcamp is a prerequisite course for the  Certified Systems Business Coach® program because it builds the core coaching skills we expect every Certified Systems Business Coach® to demonstrate.

Coaching Bootcamp includes six live classes, two hours each, with coach practice between sessions. You will learn a coaching skill, practice it, then return to debrief, refine, and build the next layer.

In Coaching Bootcamp, you will learn the practical skills required for strong coaching conversations, including:

  • Staying present and fully engaged in a coaching conversation

  • Building trust and creating a safe, supportive environment

  • Asking open, powerful questions that lead to new awareness

  • Co-creating clear agreements and keeping sessions focused

  • Reflecting and reframing what you hear to deepen insight

  • Helping clients explore options and design meaningful actions

You will be able to run a simple, structured coaching conversation right away. You will practice staying present, building trust, and using open questions that help a client think, reflect, and move forward.

You should plan for regular coaching practice between sessions. Coaching Bootcamp is skill-based, which means your confidence and results come from doing the work between classes, not only attending the live training.

Yes. Feedback is built into the learning process through live training, practice, and debriefs. The goal is steady improvement in how you show up, how you listen, and how you guide the conversation.

If you miss a class, you will need a plan to catch up on the learning and complete the practice. Coaching Bootcamp builds week over week, so staying current matters for your confidence and your results.
